Rick Hansen was interviewed by Peter Mansbridge yesterday for Mansbridge One on One.  CBC aired a clip of the interview last night on The National.  To see it Click here (it starts at 35:28).

To top off an already amazing opening ceremonies, Rick Hansen make a special appearance to deliver the Olympic flame into BC Place and hand it off to the Olympians who lit the cauldron.  This morning, Rick appeared on CTV’s Olympic Morning today to discuss the Opening Ceremonies, his foundation and his involvement in “The Difference Makers” series.  Click here for a recap from Rick’s blog.

Rick Hansen named one of eight honorary mayors for Olympic and Paralympic Villages at 2010 Winter Games

The mayors will officially open the villages in February and March,  welcome all national teams and dignitaries, as well as join athletes at informal social gatherings in the village living room in Vancouver and around the nightly bonfire in Whistler. Click here for full story.
